International freight can be a nightmare. Licensing and permits... regulations of
the destination country and the steamship line... proper containerization... pre-shipment

Whenever possible, Withers loads your goods directly from the factory. This saves
you the costs of inland freight, warehousing and unnecessary double handling, and
virtually eliminates the chance of damage due to interim handling. When direct
loading is unfeasible, Withers assembles your shipment at a central location for
consolidation. (If necessary, we will notify the freight line of any goods that arrive
damaged and file the appropriate paperwork on your behalf.) When sufficient goods
are assembled to fill an overseas shipping container, we notify you, arrange for
a container, and consolidate your shipment as safely as possible. After consolidation,
you receive a packing list outlining the number of pieces, a description of each
item, the purchase order and control number of each piece. If you cannot wait for
a full containerload, or if you are shipping less than a containerload, we prepare your
items for shipping and forward them by the most cost-effective means possible under
your time constraints.
